This Policy (together with our Website Terms of Use (Terms) and if applicable our End User Licence Agreement (EULA)) sets out the basis on which any personal information we collect from you or that you provide, will be used and processed by us.

By visiting www.sentiment.io (the Site) you accept and consent to the collection and use of your information in accordance with this Policy.

Information we collect

We may collect and process the following information about you:-

  • Personal Information that you give to us when registering with us, when ordering products, when emailing us or corresponding by phone or otherwise. This information will include your name, delivery and billing addresses, email address, phone number, financial and /or payment information, company name and address, your Twitter username and authorisation to access your Twitter account, if you use a mobile device platform to access the Services or communicate with us, information transmitted from your mobile device (including your UDID, mobile carrier identity and location date including GPS) and information purchased from third parties.
  • Non-Personal Information that the web analytics service we use automatically records when you visit our website, such as technical information including your ISP’s server address, URL, IP address, domain, browser type, country, telephone area code where your computer is located, the type of device, operating system and browser used. The information collected about your visit to our website includes the date and time of your visit, the pages accessed and documents downloaded, the time spent on each page and the previous site visited. The service we use to collect this information cannot identify you personally from any of this information.

How we use your Information

We confirm we comply with the requirements of applicable Data Protection legislation in relation to the collection, handling and storage of your personal information.

We will keep all personal information strictly confidential and shall not disclose it to any other organisations except as described below (see Disclosure of your Information). We will only use the information that we collect about you for the purposes for which it was collected.

Any information we collect in relation to you is kept on secure servers. Also this website is [certified by Thawte] as an assurance that information is kept private between our website server and your browser.

Unfortunately the transmission of information via the internet cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site.  In particular information you send by e-mail or instant messaging is not secure and you should not use it to transmit Personal Informatio to us. Once we have received your information we will use our strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

Any link between Non-Personal Information and Personal Information is not shared with third parties without your consent or as described below in Disclosure of your Information.

Disclosure of your information

We may share your personal information from time to time with selected third parties who will use it for limited purposes as part of working with us in our normal business activities. Whilst they may need to have access to certain personal information to perform their function, they are not permitted to use it for any other purposes. They are required to treat it as fully confidential and to comply with all applicable Data Protection legislation.

We sometimes use remarketing (sometimes called retargeting) to better target our online adverts to interested customers, but personally identifiable information is never disclosed for this purpose.

Please note that we may be legally required to disclose personal information if requested to do so by any government, regulatory or investigating authority.

We may transfer the Personal Information and Non-Personal Information we hold about you outside the Euroopean Union. In doing so, the treatment of such information is in accordance with our Privacy Policy and in compliance with applicable Data Protection Legislation.

 Aggregate Data

Non-Personal Information from users of the Site may be combined to create Aggregate Data that may be disclosed to thrid parties. Aggregate Data does not include Personal Information and contains no information that could be used to identify you.

Market Research

We may conduct online research surveys to gather feedback about the Site and information on important issues, through e-mail invitations. Your response may include Personal Information which will not be used for sales solicitations and will otherwise only be used in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

We do not accept any responsibility or liability for those policies, which you should read, before choosing to submit any personal information to those websites.

User ID and Password

The Site uses security measures such as internet firewalls, an intrusion detectio system, encrypted data transmission and operating protocols to protect your Personal Information. If you disclose your user ID and Password for accessing our products and services this information is no longer secure and you should therefore protect your user ID and Password. Compliance with Google Policy

1.Use of YouTube API Services
Our application integrates with YouTube API Services to allow users to link their YouTube accounts, collect, moderate, and respond to comments made on their YouTube videos. By using our application, you acknowledge and agree to be bound by YouTube’s Terms of Service and Google’s Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Access and Collect
In order to provide our services, we access and collect certain user information via the YouTube API. This includes:

  • Your YouTube account information, such as channel details, video metadata, and comments made on your videos.
  • Interaction data, including responses and moderation actions you take on comments through our platform.

We only collect the information necessary to deliver the features of our application and provide value to our users.

3. How We Use and Share Your Information
We use the information collected through the YouTube API strictly to:

  • Allow you to display and manage your YouTube comments within our application.
  • Enable you, the user, to moderate and respond to comments on your YouTube videos.

We do not share your information with any third parties, except when required by law. All data is used solely for the purposes of providing our services to you.

4. No Third-Party Advertising or Data Sharing
Our application does not serve advertisements or allow any third-party content. Furthermore, we do not collect or share your data with any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. The access and data you provide are used exclusively within the scope of our services and are never shared with external entities unless legally required.

5. Data Storage and Retention

  • Comments collected from the YouTube API are stored on our platform for a maximum of 30 days from the date they are retrieved.
  • After 30 days, the comment data will be automatically removed from our platform. If the comment is still available on YouTube, you can refetch it from the YouTube API, in which case it will be stored for another 30-day period.
  • We securely store your information as long as necessary to provide our services or as required by law.
  • You can revoke our application’s access to your YouTube data at any time via the Google Security Settings page (https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions). Once access is revoked, no new data will be collected, but previously collected data will be kept in Sentiment until you decide to remove the account from Sentiment. Once the account is removed, all collected data will be deleted.

6. Revoking Data Access
Users can revoke our application’s access to their YouTube data at any time through the Google Security Settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. After revocation, we will no longer collect new data from your YouTube account.
